Wie zijn deze aanjagers, versnellers en kwartiermakers? We spreken met ondernemer, manager en duurzaamheidsstrijder Marieke Wijbenga.<\/strong><\/p><p>Door: Dominique de Groot<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2b69d7fd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2b69d7fd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Meer doen voor de maatschappij<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5361449e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5361449e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u2018Hoe ziet de wereld eruit als mijn kinderen groot zijn?\u2019, vraagt Marieke Wijbenga zich af wanneer zij in reps. 2007 en 2010 moeder wordt van twee zoons. Duurzaamheid speelt dan al een belangrijke rol in haar dagelijkse leven. Wanneer het klimaat ook regelmatiger in het nieuws komt, zet het haar steeds meer aan het denken over waar zij haar werktijd in stopt. Ze geniet ervan processen te verbeteren en uit te vogelen hoe mensen beter kunnen samenwerken. Bij adviesbureau Advisaris \u2013 opgezet door twee oud KPMG-collega\u2019s \u2013 gaat ze aan de slag in de zorgsector. \u201cWe waren allemaal op zoek naar wat we in ons werk konden bijdragen aan de maatschappij. Bij diverse zorginstellingen hebben we geholpen bij het verbeteren van de bedrijfsvoering.\u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Marieke werkte ook voor\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mvonederland.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MVO Nederland<\/a>\u00a0als Projectmanager Circulaire Economie en Netwerkmanager Zorg. Ze hield zich daar o.a. bezig met de Green Deal Circulair Inkopen en verduurzaming van de zorgsector. \u201cMVO Nederland faciliteert grote groepen netwerken zodat bedrijven en overheidsinstellingen samen een probleem kunnen oplossen, een facet kunnen verbeteren of samen nieuwe paden kunnen bewandelen. Mijn focus was erop gericht circulair inkopen te laten groeien en de \u2018groene\u2019 zorg aan te jagen. We verzamelden voorbeelden en deelden kennis en ervaring om daar een versnelling in aan te brengen.\u201d<\/p><h2>MVO manager<\/h2><p>Het werk bij MVO Nederland vindt ze nuttig, maar bij een stichting voelt ze zich toch minder thuis dan in het bedrijfsleven. Ze gaat op zoek naar een job waar ze meer pragmatisch en resultaatgericht kan werken. De functie Sustainability manager bij\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/strukton.nl\/about-us\/duurzaamheid-bij-strukton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Strukton Groep<\/a>\u00a0past beter in haar straatje. \u201cIk voelde me meer thuis in een commerci\u00eble omgeving waar je zelf aan de bak moet en met resultaten moet komen.\u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Bij Strukton werkt Marieke onder meer in een multidisciplinair team ter voorbereiding op de\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sustainableboost.nl\/maak-je-klaar-voor-csrd\/\">CSRD<\/a>. \u201cDat was veel werk, want Strukton heeft diverse buitenlandse vestigingen en die zijn nog niet gewend om over hun footprint te rapporteren. Het opstellen van integrale jaarverslagen was al best een uitdaging.\u201d Daarnaast heeft ze ervoor gezorgd dat de Sustainable Development Goals werden opgenomen in de bedrijfsstrategie. \u201cMijn MVO kernteam en de stuurgroep vertegenwoordigden de destijds drie werkmaatschappijen.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>In eerste instantie kwamen alle werkmaatschappijen met een eigen set aan SDG\u2019s, maar geleidelijk lukte het om tot \u00e9\u00e9n focus set te komen. Strukton zette vanaf toen vol in op duurzame infrastructuur. Aan de focus SDG\u2019s waren ook al doelstellingen voor 2030 gekoppeld en door het kernteam met de werkmaatschappijen naar KPI\u2019s vertaald.\u201d Ze heeft het naar haar zin en werkt in een leuk team, maar Marieke besluit eind 2022 de organisatie toch te verlaten omdat zij zich niet kan vereenzelvigen met het gedrag van de topman.<\/p><h2>Sustainable Development Goals<\/h2><p>Marieke ziet de meerwaarde van de Sustainable Development Goals om organisaties te helpen verduurzamen en hoopt dat er meer mee aan de slag aan. \u201cJe ziet alle facetten van het sociale fundament en de planetaire grenzen erin terug en dat vind ik heel erg mooi.\u201d Ze kan zich wel voorstellen dat bedrijven het lastig vinden om met de SDG\u2019s aan de slag te gaan. \u201cHet is heel erg geschreven vanuit de overheid, maar je kan hier als bedrijf echt wel een eigen interpretatie aan geven. Het is een handige tool en richtlijn die wereldwijd bekend is.\u201d In nieuwe opdrachten die ze vanuit haar eigen bedrijf KNALgroen aanneemt, zou ze het liefst ook weer met de Sustainable Development Goals werken. \u201cIk denk dat best veel organisaties de SDG\u2019s nog niet (echt) ge\u00efntegreerd hebben. Ik kan ze daarbij op gang helpen of nog een stap verder brengen.\u201d<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h2>SUB-Booster<\/h2><p>Marieke is ons nieuwste SUB-Boosterlid (welkom!). Waarom sluit ze zich aan bij SUB Sustainable Boost? \u201cIk vind het leuk om eigen baas te zijn, maar als je alleen werkt kan dat ook af en toe best eenzaam zijn. Je moet jezelf wel pushen en trainen om scherp te blijven en te blijven leren.
